  • biometrics (habilitation in forest biometrics including mathematical statistics and a number of programming languages);
  • ecology & biodiversity (quantitative and theoretical ecology including individual-based modelling, plant-to-plant interaction, quantification and sampling of tree diversity);
  • plant growth analysis (analysing and modelling plant growth performance using absolute and relative growth rates);
  • woodland management (quantitative and theoretical silviculture including the modeling of human tree selection behaviour);
  • woodland structure analysis (spatio-temporal analysis and modelling of point patterns formed by plant locations).
