Abstract. The article represents the results of adaptive strategy of the Upper Pechora’s and Kolva’s Russian Population in the context of adaptation to the environment. The author analyzes culture components of the people’s everyday practices registered in publications, archives and expedition materials. The article considers some general features as well as features that are specific to the population of the region studied.
